My friends and
I had our fair share of summer escapades that really left us with no sleep to
spare. Madaming nagtatanong, “may trabaho ka pa ba talaga?” Then they would be skeptical
when we tell them that yes, we are in fact employed. I would like to share to
you guys some of our kagagahan and kalokohan during the summer. I know that
this is not all of it but I would like to highlight the special moments. If ever I did forget something please let me know.
:)
1. Burgoo Madness
That moment
when my friends and I ordered heaps of Buffalo wings, onion rings, mozzarella
sticks, chicken tenders and a pizza that is enough for an eight person to share
when in actually there are only three of us in a table. So three girls plus one
whopping serving of dinner equals? – stomach ache. And it happened to the three
of us coincidentally.
Imagine our disappointment
when not a single sari-sari store was selling that then.
2. Visita de
Fastfood
It was back in
easter when my friends waited for me after my duty in the hospital. Dinner daw.
Ayan na naman tayo sa dinner. We went
to Army Navy and ordered us starving sailors and sandwiches I could not
remember names. I was staring across the street ang saw iMusix. “KTV tayo, bet?”
Then the dialling to every number of our friend happened. One answered though.
Saya. We checked and unfortunately magsasara na daw sila. Girls ano ba holy
week nga diba. So umalis kami and we went to McDonalds instead. Ordered BFF
Fries just to kill time while waiting for that one friend that answered our
call – it was Jona. We were peacefully eating when suddenly kuya went up to us
to say that they were closing. I asked, “Kuya, what happened to you being 24
hours open? Blank face. Flat affect. Lastly, we went to Jollibee to wait for another friend, at dahil sa
sobrang kamalasan nga naman. Inindian kami. Okay push na natin to. It was
almost 3 in the morning. Tara uwi.
3. Jeep modus
Wag kang
sasakay kapag yung jeep eh puro lalake ang sakay with stares like they are
ready to jump at you and bite your head off. Jona stepped inside the jeepney
first and we shouted from the outside as to not make the people inside seem
suspicious, “Jona, magta-taxi nalang daw tayo.” Seriously, taxi from SM
Hypermarket Imus to Anabu Hills? This happened to us when we are desperately
looking for a ride from our misery in Jollibee which not to mention may nag Indian
nga sa amin. Dahil dyan may chismis pa na isspluk namin about sayo on a later
part. Marrloo. Marlon.
4. Photo Shoot Pa.
I would not
dare to elaborate this but one thing I will tell you, it is such a shame to
break from one of your ‘edgy pa nga’ poses when a guard tells you, “san po kayo
naka check in? Bawal po kc yung ganyan baka ma-question tayo” That’s when we
learned the basics. The hard way.
5. Loom band
workshop
I don’t know
about you pero hindi naman talaga ako naloko sa loom bands. Char. Pero promise
whenever I see something even similar to a loom band I find myself cringing. “Nabaliw
ako sa loom band” “Hindi ako ‘to.” :)) That’s when joy coined ‘loom buns’, her
fun way of telling that loom bands are for jeje and I was ONCE a jeje. Well
loom buns are basically a bracelet that has buns or pandesal around your arm.
Ayoko
na malaman. Actually gusto ko na talagang kalimutan lahat. *drama bomb*
6. It’s Not You, It’s Me
This is an
alcohol drink from The Keg, The Fort that literally tastes like cough syrup. It
is a green gooey with leaves, I don’t know, maybe Oregano? Around it that makes
it tastes even more dreadful. Joy and I asked for a glass and considering the
name sounds so fun.. after a minute of blasting music I was drunk and my dad
even had to drive me home. I really hated and will continue to hate you, green
stuff. Well, it really was not me. It was you all along.
7. Friendship
almost over after Johnny Rockets
What’s certain
between Kim, Joy and Tyn is that Math and us do not mix. We even went to the
verge of having our friendship ending dahil kulang ang computation sa bill. May
samaan na loob na naganap at kampihang nangyari. Sino ba talaga ang kulang ang
binayad? Sino ang may pinaka maraming inorder? (slowly raises hand – Guilty).
8. I need my B
complex
We were
planning to go buy clothes when I remembered I forgot to take my Vitamin B. I
asked them na we have to go first to the nearest drug store to buy, and then sa
sa sobrang kagutuman na naman na distract sa donuts and guess what, I left my
vitamins there. I asked them please bumili ulit tayo. Okay bumili ulit. Naiwan
na naman somewhere ang binili. The rest was history. Change topic na please
guys.
9. Buscopan Venus
Sinetch itey
So
maging ubo nalang? Mali e.
10. Turn Down What?
I do not dare to say more.
11. The Legend of
the Tahong
Hindi na yata mabubuo
ang buong summer if I will not mention this one. It started when one by one
ang tahong o dahil inihaw sya kaya nagkaron sya ng something that made our
stomachs ache throughout the day. Suka dito suka ‘don. CRs locked everywhere
and nagkaubusan na ng diatabs and Buscopan. >:) We were all still
thankful that all of us recovered from that incident and there is absolutely
one lesson learned – no more tahong sa summer outing.
2014 became so
good to us that we could not barely wait for summer of 2015 to come!
Sabi nga nila you do not really
learn unless you experience. Here’s to the nights we refused to sleep and chose
to enjoy the company of each other instead!
